The Walther Rescue Knife, a folder designed for professional use by rescue workers, can always be opened, regardless of whether the hand is wet or wearing gloves: with the square button at the base of the blade, with the recesses on the upper sides of the blade and supported by the "flipper". This also serves as protection for the index finger when the blade is unfolded and locked with a liner lock. The 90 mm long, titanium gray coated drop point blade is made of 12C27 Sandvik steel and has a short serrated area in front of the ricasso as a makeshift saw. A glass breaker has been integrated into the rear end of the handle. A belt cutter can be pushed out from the back of the handle without having to swing the blade out. Non-slip rubber shells have been screwed onto both sides of the sturdy housing. The loops of the included nylon case allow the knife to be carried horizontally or vertically on the belt.
