Types of finishing

DTF printing

The DTF printing process - Digital Transfer Film or Direct Transfer Film

Our DTF printing machines apply the color to specially coated transfer films using inkjet printing. The white ink is applied almost simultaneously. The still wet color is coated with a layer of thermal powder. The printed image then dries quickly. The mirror-image printed motif is then transferred to textiles or other solid materials using a thermal transfer press.

Did you know? Printing on our machines is possible in white and CYMK color space.

Who is DTF transfer printing suitable for?

DTF transfer prints are ideal for printing small to very large quantities where high quality and cost-effective order processing are important.

This inexpensive and simple textile finishing process is also suitable for merchandising by bands, clubs and groups. Whether for individual motifs, small quantities or mass production: Due to the rapid production process, we can fulfill short-term requests from our B2B customers. The number of copies is not important to us.

Order small quantities for timely finishing of textiles or in bulk. We are also happy to store your stock prints with us to ensure cost-effective reprints with consistent quality at any time.

DTF is the NEW standard in classic textile finishing!

In a nutshell: The benefits of DTF

  • Finishing of textiles such as cotton, elastane, polyester, nylon or mixed fabrics
  • Finishing of textiles in all colours
  • Areas of application: T-shirts, merchandise, sports and functional clothing, workwear, aprons and safety vests, caps, bags, pillowcases, backpacks and pouches
  • Top durability due to stretchability, tear resistance and abrasion resistance
  • Print washable up to 60 degrees
  • Easy pre-production and storage
  • Small quantities up to mass production possible
  • Short-term requests can be implemented at any time
  • Cost-effective production
  • Large and small formats possible
  • No weeding necessary
  • More durable than DTG prints (Direct To Garment)

Ready-made embroidered textiles en masse

A multi-head embroidery machine basically functions like a normal sewing machine. It is also based on a lockstitch, i.e. an upper and lower thread. The needle position is fixed, the movement takes place with the embroidery frame in which the fabric to be embroidered is clamped. If this machine has several "heads", it is called a multi-head embroidery machine. The individual heads are then connected to a main drive shaft.

The machine is programmed digitally. Data sets that the machine can read are entered into a special punch program.

In principle, yes. There are exceptions where the textile is not suitable for embroidery due to its nature.
Very thin fabrics (very fine silk) can then be damaged.

In principle, leather can be embroidered. However, the quality must be good. We embroider leather with very special needles that prevent it from being perforated. We would be happy to check the feasibility for you in your specific case.

There are certain limits here, as the stitch should be at least 0.8 mm long. For fonts, the height should not be less than 4 mm. However, we will of course advise you and point this out when you make your enquiry. For small fonts, we also use a special fine thread that improves the results.

Mostly yes, when it comes to company logos or fonts. Color gradients, on the other hand, cannot be implemented true to nature because you can only embroider with one color at a time. This depends on the experience and care of the puncher who creates the programs. However, we always try to work as true to nature as possible.

If you work seriously, you can't just give the costs as a size key. It depends on the size of the embroidery, but the coverage of the embroidery is also important in the calculation. We are happy to create an individual offer for each request so that you get a professional assessment of your project.

Yes, every new design is sampled for the customer. A cost of around CHF 25 is charged. Sampling is important so that both parties are sure to get the best possible result.

An embroidery program is required to program the machine. Production requires a lot of experience and attention to detail. These costs are stated in our offer. Experience has shown that they are between CHF 65 and CHF 150.

Because we are a smaller, flexible manufacturing company, we can usually respond to customer requests. The delivery time for an order is usually 1-3 weeks from the customer's approval.

Screen printing and screen printing transfer

Screen printing is a stencil printing process. In contrast to conventional stencils (e.g. made of paper), this printing technique can also be used to produce very detailed, free-standing graphics. This is made possible by the screen, through which ink is pressed with the squeegee during the printing process.

The coating of the screen printing frame

To produce such a stencil, you need a screen printing frame, photo emulsion, a UV light source and a graphic template that is printed completely black on foil for exposure. The frame is then exposed using the created motif template.

With this finished exposed frame with your own motif, the screen printing process can then be applied to different materials.

Exposing the stencil

Exposing the stencil

If you now want to expose your motif, the finished exposure film is placed on the screen . Parts of the emulsion are covered light-tight by the black of the film. If UV light now falls on the screen, all areas that are directly hit by the light are hardened.

The screen printing process can be used for printing on a wide variety of materials.

In the art world, printing is mostly done on paper, cardboard and canvas. This graphic screen printing (also called serigraphy) is best known through Andy Warhol, who produced many of his art prints directly using the screen printing process with very few tools.

Today, screen printing on a large scale is mainly used in textile printing. Textiles can be printed manually or automatically in small and large runs. Here, textiles are printed using a screen printing carousel or a large screen printing machine, for example.

Follow-up delivery service

Textile finishing usually takes place in medium to large batches. Companies, clubs or event organizers stock up on a sufficiently large amount of stock and thus achieve great, affordable prices for DTF and screen printing or even for industrially rationalized embroidery.

But what happens when you need new employees, new club members or slightly adapted textiles for the next event?

No problem with our delivery service:

In the DTF or screen printing area we rely on the transfer process.

The prints are printed on a sheet of transfer paper, from where they can be transferred to the textile using a hot press.

Unused (in stock) prints can be stored with us until the next use.

This means you benefit from consistent quality, short order times and the option to reorder individual or a few textiles at any time at low cost.

It doesn't matter which textile the transfer print is pressed onto (as long as the textile can withstand the heat of a hot press). For example, it is possible to print a sports bag, caps or sweaters for a tombola that you don't normally have in your range.

Clubs in particular love it, as some members would prefer a different collar cut, longer sleeves or special fabric for their club clothing.

With transfer printing we are always able to fulfill your individual special requests.

It is also possible to print on other people's textiles. In this case, we simply do not accept any liability for the printability and charge the usual third-party textile flat rate of 5 francs per textile for the treatment of goods outside our range, which does not bring us any profit.

Never shot out

We always keep an eye on the quantity of prints in stock, so you never have to worry about your stock running out at the worst possible moment.

We warn you in advance and recommend reprinting transfers for stock.

Data in the WEiTSICHT Cloud

In the age of data protection, graphic design companies are obliged to make the graphic data they have created or been entrusted with available to their customers at all times and quickly.

For this purpose, we have set up a cloud solution where our customers have access to all their projects at any time.

But we wouldn't be US if we hadn't tried to do better than this one solution.

With the subscription product WEiTSICHT CLOUD, we have created a data exchange platform that saves time, reduces costs and brings added value for those responsible for advertising in companies and associations.

Below we explain how:

  • On the WEiTSICHT CLOUD, your data is safe from deletion and always accessible to you. This means that if you lose your data, we have your data available on your cloud just a mouse click away.
  • On the WEiTSICHT CLOUD you always have virus-free data available. Especially for forwarding to service providers who need your logo data and print data (newspapers, advertising service providers, web banner advertisers, etc.)
  • Conventional mail systems quickly reach their limits, especially when forwarding high-resolution graphic data.
Using the WEiTSICHT CLOUD, you can generate one-time or permanent download links that you can copy and forward for individual files or entire folders. Your recipient can then download the data from us with just a click of the mouse.
  • Data delivery made easy!
Your graphic data, photos, etc. have to come to us and the data lines are glowing?
Not with the WEiTSICHT CLOUD, they have an upload folder where you can send us files via drag and drop.
  • Data security is a top priority!
Your data is triple georedundant, stored locally and in the cloud. Best possible protection against loss!
With bank-grade security encryption, data thieves are initially kept out.
  • SAVE COSTS thanks to the WEiTSICHT CLOUD?
When customers deliver data to us, we usually charge a flat rate for data transfer. This fee includes checking your data for viruses, ensuring that the original dimensions and color spaces are maintained, and that the data still corresponds to your CI.
If your data is stored securely in our shared cloud with you as the customer, there is no data transfer fee for existing data in the cloud for each order. That can add up quickly!
  • Would you like to securely integrate video data, animations, etc. into your website?
Do you use the WEiTSICHT CLOUD as the starting point for your data storage and stream from there to your web portal?
Fast data connections and secure connections offer maximum convenience for you.

How much does it all cost?

250Fr. per calendar year. (plus VAT) with unlimited storage space.
